A modular enclosure for real-time fruit fly monitoring and analysis
Fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster) behavioral research depends on continuous, high-throughput video monitoring across dozens of controlled enclosures simultaneously. At the NIH National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, the existing monitoring infrastructure had hit its capacity ceiling and lacked real-time analysis capabilities. FlyVuer is the open-source replacement I designed and built to address both constraints.
